Starting a Group
Leadership Transition Guide
Every resource group will eventually face a leadership transition. The leaders who handle it well are the ones who start thinking about it long before it feels urgent. A poorly managed transition doesn't just create short-term confusion. It can undo months of momentum, strain volunteer relationships, and leave incoming leaders without the context they need to be effective. A well-managed one does the opposite: it signals organizational maturit...
First 90 Days as a Resource Group Leader
Taking on a resource group leadership role, whether you're launching something new or inheriting something established, means you've signed up for one of the more visible volunteer commitments in your organization. The first 90 days won't define everything, but they set the tone for how members experience the group and how much trust you earn with the people around you. Here's how to use that time well. Days 1-30: Listen Before You Lead The ...
Resource Group Charter Template
A resource group charter is the document you'll come back to when there's a disagreement about priorities, when leadership changes hands, or when a new member asks what this group is actually about. Done well, it saves a lot of conversations later. Use this template as a starting point. Adapt it to fit your organization's structure and your group's specific needs. There's no single right version. The right version is the one your founding team...
Resource Group Launch Guide
Launching a resource group is less about getting everything right and more about building something real enough that people want to show up again. Here's how to get from idea to active community without overcomplicating it. Define Your Purpose First Everything else follows from this. Before you plan a single event or recruit a single member, get specific about why this group exists and who it's for. Not "to create community" - that's a given...
How to Propose a New Resource Group
Most resource groups start the same way: someone notices a gap. Employees who share an identity, experience, or interest have no formal space to connect, and one person decides to do something about it. If you've spotted that gap in your organization, here's how to move from idea to proposal. Start by Understanding the Need Before you write anything or talk to anyone officially, get clear on what you're actually trying to solve. Ask yours...
What's a Resource Group?
A resource group is an employee-led community built around shared identity, experience, interest, or goal. Some are spaces for people who share a background or lived experience. Others bring together allies, career-stage peers, or employees who care about the same issues. What they have in common is that they're created by employees, for employees, and they make the workplace feel less like somewhere you just show up. You'll hear them called d...

Add Your Belong365 Calendar to Microsoft Teams

Open Microsoft Teams and navigate to your Teams Channel.

1.Click on + sign

2. Click on “Website”

3.On next window, update tab name as desired. In URL field, paste your calendar link

4. Your Belong 365 HUB should display in your Microsoft Team Channel Tab.

Previously, you could add a website as a tab in a Microsoft Teams channel using the “Website” tab, allowing the site to load directly within Teams. However, as of July 2024, Microsoft has changed this behaviour for security and privacy reasons. Now, when you add a website using the “Website” tab, it will open in a new browser tab instead of within the Teams interface
