Strategy & Sustainability
Belonging Groups Overview
You're doing a lot. Planning events, keeping members informed, welcoming new people, coordinating volunteers, sharing resources - and doing all of it as a volunteer, on top of everything else on your plate. The last thing you need is to spend your limited time hunting across platforms, chasing down members who missed an announcement, or wondering whether people actually know your group exists. That's exactly what Belonging Groups is built to s...
How to Start a Chapter
When a resource group is working well, the natural question becomes: how do we bring this to more people? Employees in other offices, regions, or business units start asking why there isn't a local presence, and leadership starts thinking about expansion. A chapter model can be the right answer. It can also create significant coordination overhead, dilute the group's culture, and produce local chapters that exist on paper without much life beh...
Technology & Tools for Resource Groups
Running a resource group on spreadsheets, email chains, and calendar invites works until it doesn't. At some point, usually when the group grows, programming gets more ambitious, or a key volunteer steps back, the administrative overhead of managing everything across disconnected tools becomes its own problem. Technology doesn't make a resource group successful. But the wrong setup, or no setup at all, can make it significantly harder to susta...
Resource Group Strategy Guide
Most resource groups are good at doing things. Planning events, sending communications, recruiting members, organizing volunteers - the operational work of running a group. What's harder, and rarer, is having a clear sense of why you're doing those things and whether they're actually moving the group toward something meaningful. That's what strategy is. Just a clear, shared understanding of where the group is going and how it's going to get th...
Avoiding Volunteer Burnout
Volunteer burnout is the most common reason resource groups lose momentum. The volunteers who burn out are usually the ones who cared enough to say yes to everything, cover for gaps, and keep pushing when the group needed them. Burnout is what happens when that commitment runs into an unsustainable workload for too long. The groups that avoid it aren't the ones with the most dedicated volunteers. They're the ones that make it structurally hard...

Add Your Belong365 Calendar to Microsoft Teams

1.Click on + sign

2. Click on “Website”

3.On next window, update tab name as desired. In URL field, paste your calendar link

Previously, you could add a website as a tab in a Microsoft Teams channel using the “Website” tab, allowing the site to load directly within Teams. However, as of July 2024, Microsoft has changed this behaviour for security and privacy reasons. Now, when you add a website using the “Website” tab, it will open in a new browser tab instead of within the Teams interface
