This international annual event celebrates wheelchair users and the positive impact that having a wheelchair has had on their lives. First celebrated in 2008, this day also honors the work of those who provide wheelchairs and support to people who use a wheelchair daily. They offer the world a more accessible place for people living with mobility issues. It also brings light to the tens of millions of people who need a wheelchair and can’t get one.
