Managing Across Time Zones Without Burning Out Your Team
The thing about distributed teams is that the coordination demands are often invisible until they aren't. People quietly absorb early calls, late messages, and the pressure of being constantly reachable. Then one day, you notice disengagement, declining performance, or someone telling you in an exit interview that they simply couldn't keep up. A 2024 study published in Organization Science, involving researchers from Rice University, Harvard B...
Building Psychological Safety Across Global Teams
There's a version of psychological safety that gets talked about a lot in leadership training: the idea that people should feel comfortable speaking up. That part is usually agreed on. What's less discussed is how hard it can be to create that environment when your team is spread across countries, cultures, and time zones, where what "speaking up" looks like can vary significantly. What the Research Actually Says Psychological safety has a stro...
When Work Stress Follows You Home
The laptop is closed. Dinner is done. But you're still in the meeting from this afternoon, replaying what you should have said, worrying about what's waiting for you tomorrow, running the loop again. Rumination is one of the most common and least talked-about effects of work stress. It keeps your stress response active long after the stressor is gone, which means your body and brain don't actually recover, even when you're technically off the ...
Supporting a Colleague in Distress
A colleague seems off. They're quieter than usual, or more reactive, or they mentioned offhand that they're not doing well. You want to help, but you're not sure what to say, and you don't want to make it worse. That instinct to tread carefully is reasonable, but doing nothing has a cost too. Here's a practical guide for the in-between. What to Say The most useful thing you can do is acknowledge what you're noticing and make yourself availab...
Setting Boundaries Without Burning Bridges
Most people understand, in the abstract, that they need boundaries at work. What stops them is the fear that saying no will damage a relationship, create a reputation for being difficult, or result in being passed over. Those fears are worth taking seriously. But so is what happens when you don't set them. Why Limits Reduce Burnout Risk Chronic overextension is one of the most reliable predictors of burnout. Research on job demands and resou...
What to Do When You Feel Overwhelmed at Work
You know the feeling. Your inbox has 47 unread messages. Three things are due today that you haven't started. Someone just added a meeting to your calendar. And your brain has decided this is the perfect moment to think about everything at once. When you're in acute overwhelm, productivity advice doesn't really help. You need something that works on your nervous system first. Start With Your Body, Not Your To-Do List Overwhelm is a stress re...
Early Signs of Burnout
Burnout rarely arrives without warning. The problem is that the early signals are easy to rationalize. You're just tired. It's a busy period. Things will calm down soon. They often don't. And the longer burnout goes unaddressed, the harder it is to recover from. Catching it early gives you real options. What Burnout Actually Looks Like The most widely used framework for burnout describes three core dimensions: emotional exhaustion, cynicism, an...

2. Click on “Website”

3.On next window, update tab name as desired. In URL field, paste your calendar link

Previously, you could add a website as a tab in a Microsoft Teams channel using the “Website” tab, allowing the site to load directly within Teams. However, as of July 2024, Microsoft has changed this behaviour for security and privacy reasons. Now, when you add a website using the “Website” tab, it will open in a new browser tab instead of within the Teams interface
